As expected, native wins for rich user experience and performance. Native also wins for monetization. However, HTML5 wins for cross-platform, immediate updates, available programming talent, and fragmentation challenges.
For consumer applications with tens or hundreds of millions of users end user experience is key and native apps makes sense. But for enterprise applications, with thousands of users, HTML5 makes more sense in the vast majority of cases.
