Workspot DaaS Disaster Recovery Service (Service) is designed for organizations looking to provide business continuity plan for end users who cannot access their physical desktop during an unexpected event. When the Service is activated, Workspot will provision the most recent template(s) uploaded to the Service within 24 hours of receiving valid notification (see below for notification requirements) from Company.

1. Providing, Updating, and Verifying Templates
Company is responsible, on a monthly basis, for providing updated Windows 10 template(s) and contacting Workspot to upload the updated template(s) to Workspot DaaS Disaster Recovery Services. Workspot makes available one Active Hosted Virtual Desktop for each combination of template and Hosted Virtual Desktop specification as listed on the Order Form. Company is solely responsible for verifying that each of the template(s) were successfully updated by accessing and testing the Active Hosted Virtual Desktop(s) provisioned for that purpose.

2. Activating Workspot DaaS Disaster Recovery Service
To activate the Workspot DaaS Disaster Recovery Service, Company must notify a Workspot by sending an email request to disasterrecovery@workspot.com and must include:

  • (a) the words “DR Activation” in the subject line;
  • (b) description of how many Hosted Virtual Desktops, as listed on the Order Form, to activate.

Company may make the Workspot Hosted Virtual Desktop Active up to the duration of the subscription term; however the minimum payment for Active state of the desktop is one month’s fee.

3. Returning to Inactive Workspot DaaS Disaster Recovery Service
To deactivate the Disaster Recovery service, Company must notify a Workspot by sending an email request to disasterrecovery@workspot.com and must include:

  • (a) the words “Deactivate DR” in the subject line;
  • (b) description of how many Hosted Virtual Desktops, as listed on the Order Form, to deactivate.
