Amitabh Sinha
Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder

Amitabh has more than twenty years of experience across enterprise software, end user computing, mobile, and database software. Amitabh co-founded Workspot with Puneet Chawla and Ty Wang in August 2012.

Prior to Workspot, Amitabh was the General Manager for Enterprise Desktops and Apps at Citrix Systems. In his five years at Citrix, Amitabh was VP Product Management for XenDesktop and VP Engineering for the Advanced Solutions Group.

Amitabh has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Puneet Chawla
Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder

As CTO at Workspot, Puneet is responsible for the technology vision, direction and engineering execution for the company.

Prior to Workspot, founding engineer on VMware’s View product line, a business that went from $0 to $150+ million in revenue over five years. From 2009-2011, Puneet was part of the Office of the CTO at VMware and drove strategic efforts at the intersection of cloud and end user computing.

Puneet has an MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida and an BS degree in Mech Engineering from Punjab University, India. He holds over 10 patents in the areas of virtualization and cloud computing.

Brad Peterson
VP of Marketing

Brad leads marketing strategy and operations for the company’s vision of securely delivering apps and desktops in a cloud, mobile, and hyper-converged era.

Previously, Brad was Vice President of Marketing at DocuSign, the global leader in eSignature and Digital Transaction Management. Before DocuSign, Brad worked with Citrix for almost a decade where he built the global EBC program, produced solutions videos driving millions in pipeline, and was a regular keynote speaker for Citrix and partner events globally. Brad joined Citrix in 2004 through the acquisition of Net6, where he relocated to the Citrix EMEA headquarters in Switzerland and launched the new security appliance business over a two-year period to a $30M run rate. Brad has also held executive roles at Net6 (acquired by Citrix), Octane (acquired by E.piphany), BayStone (acquired by Remedy) and Auspex (IPO).

Brad holds a Master’s Degree, Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s Degree, Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Jimmy Chang
VP of Products and Alliances

As VP of Products and Alliances at Workspot, Jimmy is responsible for product direction, customer success, and technology partnership strategy.

Prior to Workspot, Jimmy held various senior technical product, marketing, and strategy roles at software, networking, and video compression companies, including Citrix where he was Director of Product Management and Strategic Alliances, responsible for XenDesktop product management and building the ecosystem strategy with technology partners including Google, HP, and Dell.

Jimmy holds a Bachelors of Science, Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Prasad Krothapalli
VP of Engineering

As VP of Engineering at Workspot, Prasad is responsible for the leading the company’s world class team of engineers located in the US and India.

Previously, Prasad has lead globally based development teams at early stage start-ups and large companies, including NComputing and Citrix. He most recently held the position as VP of Engineering at NComputing, a leader in Desktop and Application virtualization solutions. Before NComputing, he was the Sr. Director of Engineering of Enterprise Desktops and Application Division at Citrix where he lead Citrix XenDesktop 7 development teams. Previously Prasad was Director and Architect at Everypath where he built Mobile Application Gateway and Mobile Application Platforms.

Prasad holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Ohio State University.

Ty Wang
Co-Founder and Vice President

Ty focuses on business growth at Workspot constantly looking for new ways to engage customers, create distribution partnerships, and collaborate on joint technical solutions.

Ty was previously VP of Business Development at Twilio, a communications platform company whose cloud-based API has enabled new business workflows across web and mobile applications. Ty has also held leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies, including Oracle and Accenture, and technology startups in the telecommunications and mobile task automation areas working with Carrier, ISV, SI, and Device OEM companies.

Ty has an MBA from the University of Michigan and BS Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Richard Lo
Chief Sales Officer

Richard brings more than 25 years of operational experience building innovative companies and delivering information technology solutions to enterprises. His experience includes early stage, angel funded and venture-backed companies, as well as a number of the technology industry’s largest organizations. Richard is fortunate to have been a part of several successful acquisition exits and one company IPO.

Prior to Workspot, Richard was a seed investor and Chief Revenue Officer at Prevoty, a leader in runtime application self-protection and the Chief Revenue Officer at Moovweb, an innovative mobile web software company. Before Moovweb, Richard was VP of WW Sales and Business Development for NetBase Solutions. Prior to that, he was VP of Enterprise Sales at i365, a Seagate Company. He joined i365 through the company’s acquisition of MetaLINCS, where he was the VP of Field Operations responsible for Sales, Business Development, Consulting and Support. Richard was also VP of WW Sales for Trigo Technologies, the leader in Product Information Management. Trigo was acquired by IBM in 2004 and became the foundation for IBM’s very successful and fast growing Master Data Management software business. Richard also held Executive Management positions at several innovative companies including Verity (IPO in 1995) and Brightware (acquired by Firepond).

Richard holds a B.S.E.E. with honors from the University of the Pacific and was captain of the Collegiate Crew team.

Rana Kanaan
Strategy and Board Advisor

With more than twenty years building and marketing technology solutions, Rana provides marketing, product and design leadership with a singular focus on customer success. In her role as Strategy and Board Advisor, Rana provides the company’s executives and board with strategy and go-to-market know-how, decision-making and relationship building in the end-user computing space, and in high tech in general.

Previously, Rana was Workspot’s Chief Product Officer and instrumental in propelling the company’s growth and market presence as the leading vendor of VDI 2.0. Before Workspot, Rana was the VP of Product Management for the Citrix Desktop and App business, overseeing the doubling of the application and desktop virtualization revenue, massive simplification in the XenDesktop and XenApp platforms, and the creation of the cloud delivered suite, now called Workspace Services. Under her watch, Citrix landed its largest US and UK deployments.

Rana holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and is a graduate of the Stanford d.school and GSB programs.
